The Early NC Childhood Foundation reports that in North Carolina, there is a significant demand for licensed childcare, with five or more families competing for each available space. Recognizing this critical need, we have initiated the process of converting our parsonage into a childcare facility capable of accommodating up to 28 children.

Currently we are working through the local regulations for zoning compliance. The City of Dunn, requires us to install a new widened driveway, small parking area, and develop a storm water management plan and design, before granting final approval for begin the physical developments needed for the daycare. Furthermore, building code requirements will need to be met which will consist of updates to the interior of the parsonage. Unfortunately, this process has been unexpected burdensome and slow but progress is continuing!
